My love of food, health, and wellness is how my path to photography really began. In 2011 I had melanoma and that really gave me a scare and jumped started my health kick. I made time to personally invest in my health. I was really interested in how to get cooking healing foods in the kitchen! Turning on some tunes and cooking became a creative outlet for me. I found a nutrition school that was exactly what I was looking for because it went beyond just how to cook, but how to make healthy and healing meals. During the course part of my assignments required that I turn in photographs of my recipes creations. Oh man, I got so into it! I had definitely found my groove, my jam, my element. I will note that making dinner did take a bit longer when I photograph the whole process. I'd like to take this time to thank my friends and family for their patience! This passion inspired me to create my own website, Andi Smith Wellness, where I provided health tips and recipes.
I realized through photography I could translate and share my love, energy, and passion for not only food, but for living a holistically healthy life. I have been so grateful and honored to inspire others to take their health and passions into their own hands. Whether it be a creative endeavor, making time for physical fitness, or (one of my favorites) to get in the kitchen and learn how to cook and enjoy healthy meals. I live and breathe food, health, and photography. I've learned it's important to make time for your passions; things that make you excited and give you energy. I truly believe that if it's important enough to you then you will make time for it. That is why I make time for the things that are important to me.
My favorite things to shoot are food, outdoor/lifestyle, health/wellness, hiking, yoga, farms, local businesses and entrepreneurs. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to combine all of my creative passions into one and help you capture what is important to you in photographs.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Now I’d love to hear from you!
